Can I use these chips in both Ricoh Ri 1000 and Ri 1000X printers?
Yes. The communication protocol on the cartridge bay is cross-compatible between Ricoh Ri 1000 and Ri 1000X. Our chips are calibrated to work seamlessly with both models.
Are the two White ink chips identical or slot-specific?
The two white channels share compatible logic coding. You can insert our white chips into either white ink bay, and the printer will correctly register both channels to maintain automated agitation and head flushing routines.
Can these chips be reset with a chip resetter?
No. These are single-use (disposable) chips developed for maximum firmware stability. Attempting to reset them may damage the micro-circuitry. Once the virtual ink level hits 0%, replace the chip with a fresh one before reinserting your filled cartridge.
Will using aftermarket chips void my Ricoh printhead or cause system lockouts?
Our chips communicate strictly with the ink monitoring bus and do not alter printer firmware or printhead driving parameters. As long as you disable automatic driver/firmware push updates from the host computer, your system will remain completely stable.
